What can a 150cc gocart accomplish performance-wise?

A solid 150cc gocart is the right thing if you’re looking for high speeds but don’t want to transport yourself to the future by breaking time-space. Of course, like we all know, it’s not too realistic to measure gocart performance solely on cylinder capacity. Many people confuse themselves with engine terminology without really knowing that when dricing a go gocart a lot of more things come into play other than cubic capacity. The cart’s cc basically measures the quantity of gas and oxygen mix exploded in the cylinder for engine power. This means that a 150 cc cart will burn 150 cc of oxygen/gas for every explosion. Then any sensible person might thing that the more cc a cart has the more power it has. But the story doesn’t end there.

There are other indicators you can use to measure engine performance other than just relying on the misguiding cc. RPM or revolutions per minute is the number of cycles the engine’s crankshaft completes in one minute. Although this might appear like a good way to absolutely measure an engine, it’s pretty much meaningless if you don’t take into account the engine’s power to actually move the gocart. The number used to measure the turning power of an engine is called the torque, and the higher the better. Finally HP or horsepower measures the engine’s capacity to move the gocart across a determined distance.
