Batteries for Power Wheels: handle and caution

Batteries for power wheels should be handled with special care and caution, like the manual clearly explains. Power wheels batteries require careful caution from the moment you get started to the moment you dispose of an overused battery. Ride-on toys rely on batteries for operation, so you should make the best out of their usage by correctly charging and operating them. Depending on whether the Power wheels in question is a 6V or a 12V powered ride-on, you might have to go through some special procedures for replacement.

Treat your battery with respect. When charging for an upcoming Power Wheels adventure make sure you place the battery on a proper surface in an upright position. Batteries contain acid fluids so it’s recommended that you thoroughly investigate batteries between each Power Wheel use for cracks or openings. Watch out for any warnings that the manual highlights during the process of changing or disposing of a battery. Don’t make the battery try to give more than it can give, avoid mounting more weight than is specified for each power wheels.

Apart from batteries, Fisher Price also manufactures chargers for both types of 6V and 12V batteries. There are three types of chargers: the super 6V charger, the double battery 12V charger and the single battery 12V charger. Some Powerwheels might use two 6V batteries instead of a single 12V battery because of their design. Some vehicles need to distribute the weight of two 6V batteries on both sides for maximum stability and drive.
