Books are the place to refer to when looking for a blueprint to a go cart

To get a general idea about a blueprint to a go cart it’s a good idea to review some books and analyze what they offer. Although it’s possible to come up with your own go kart plans, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel, numerous books on go carts have been printed with their corresponding plans. “Kart Chassis Setup Technology” is a book by Steve smith that covers different chassis blueprints depending on what type of racing class you decide to compete in. This go cart book covers understanding a chassis, handling dynamics, front end geometry, baseline setup, and track tuning and adjusting.

If you’re a beginner in sprint cart-racing, there’s an easy to understand book called: “Sprint Karting: A complete Beginner’s Guide” By Jean Genibrel that gives the necessary info for any rookie to arm up his or her cart. This book covers the basics on chassis, carburetor, the engine, clutches, gears and chains as well as some chapters that give good tips once you’re on the racing turf. “Karting! A Complete Introduction” by the same author, goes into explaining the differences between the different racing classes. It talks about 2-cycle, 4-cycle, sprint or enduro or dirt racing. Knowing which class you want to race in will definitely define what your gocart’s blueprint will ultimately look like. For more information on these books follow this link to go-kart-kits.
