go carts

In the go carts scene, proper vehicle preparation is a must.

Once you sing up for a race and are ready to face off other go carts on the pavement, it’s critical that you make some preparation before the big day. Check that all the fluids are in optimum balance including: gas, oil and engine cooler. If your go cart engine is a two-stroke then make sure you fill the tank with the correct gasoline and oil mixture. If your go cart is a four-stroke then make sure the engine has enough cooler to avoid extreme temperatures.

Once you’ve checked all the necessary liquids, the next step would be to go on ahead and revise that all the go-cart’s bolts are firmly attached and that nothing is wobbly. Also check the drive chain, or even consider replacing it with a new one for the upcoming carting competition. While you’re going through this task you can also take note of the condition of the different gears and replace as seems fit. Any racing gocart’s tires are easily worn out after good race, so getting new tires is recommended for maximum safety as well as performance.

Once you’ve finished testing your go-cart, another important task is to find out as much as you can about the track you’ll be carting on. Is it indoors? Is it outdoors? How many curves does it have? Is it a completely flat track? Or does it have sloping sections? Knowing your track well can be the small difference that marks a winner from a loser.
