Go-kart disc breaks: make your kart stop like the pros! |
||
|
:: go-kart disc breaks :: So, you got yourself a true asphalt speed machine equipped with an engine of 6 HP or more, then it’s time to consider upgrading to go-kart disc breaks. Go kart brakes can be any of three traditional types of breaks: band, drum or disc. Band brakes, the simplest type of breaks, are those found in soft-core riding applications such as bikes or fun karts. A drum brake setup is tougher than simple band breaks, but not as powerful as a disc break setup. Considering that disc breaks are used for regular sized cars, you can imagine that they’re more than necessary to make a go-kart stop. With go-karts averaging speed around 40 MPH, disc brakes can be expected to easily do the job and last for very long periods of time.
