Honda elite 50cc2 cycle: Possible adaptation to a go kart project?

The Honda elite 50cc 2 cycle engine became famous for powering up single passenger Honda scooters. A 50cc Honda engine is fairly powerful, being a 2 cycle engine may be the minimum requirement to get some speed out of a go kart. 2 cycle engines are known to produce more revs per minute than 4 cycle engines but they do have a problem when it comes to torque. So if you happen to have an old Honda elite scooter you can think about adapting its motor to a go kart as long as things are kept very light weighted.
